Features and remarks

You are buying an original painting by Marius Seidlitz from this year. This contemporary work comes straight from the artist's studio.

In front of a deep blue night sky with shimmering gray clouds stands a pink-red dog with a yellow-red bird of paradise on its head. The bodies are abstract and stand in changing color contrasts. Here the artist devotes himself to the depiction of surreal animal beings and imaginary creatures, leaving space for one's own imagination.

In his work, Seidlitz addresses the complexity of the demands placed on oneself. The images are often inspired by the body - bodies that are deliberately presented in an imperfect manner. The viewer sees colorful curves in all the stark contradictions - between attraction and repulsion. But always multi-dimensional, always dynamic and never too precise - beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Complicated bodies, suggested limbs sink into intensely colored surfaces and dynamic lines.

High-contrast blue, yellow and red tones characterize the painting. Seidlitz succeeds in building up an attractive ambivalence in the picture. It remains unclear how the animals behave with each other. With his painting, the artist creates a work of reception of artistic and literary positions of early Surrealism of the 1920s.

"Anyone who sees the images with their hearts feels the beauty of vulnerability and inner turmoil - sees the simultaneity of different proportions and needs of a person. The bodies can only be naked because the soul emerges when it is naked. Man is complex and simple at the same time, he is always in the process of becoming."
