Katrin Bremermann wurde 1965 in Bremen geboren. Bremermann ist als Künstlerin Autodidaktin. Aufgewachsen in Bremen verließ sie Deutschland im Alter von 18 Jahren und lebte als Künstlerin in Santa Monica, New York, auf den U.S. Virgin Islands und in Tokio, aktuell lebt und arbeitet sie in Berlin. Ihre Malerei und Objekte sind abstrakt und minimalistisch. Früher verband sie auf verschiedenen Ebenen figürliche Szenerien mit ihren geometrisch abstrahierten Formen, die meist in einer einzigen Farbe sind. Seit Mitte der 2000er Jahre stellt die Künstlerin ihre Arbeiten regelmäßig aus. 2012 erhielt sie ein Stipendium der Triangle Association in New York. |

Here you have the opportunity to acquire a large painting by the Berlin-based artist Katrin Bremermann.
The painting, created in 2006, is entitled ‘Baseballer 3’ and was shown at one of her first exhibitions in Germany, in Düsseldorf.
Probably inspired by her many years in the USA, Bremermann combines scenic and abstract elements in the composition, which is over 2 metres wide.
Two realistically painted, but blurred and highly dynamic athletes performing on a sports field at night are overlaid by a second picture plane with simple geometrically shaped surfaces.
The surreal-looking painting exudes a wonderful, nocturnal poetry and joy of play.
