artist

Features and remarks
Here you have the opportunity to acquire an original mixed media work by Antonio Abellán for your contemporary art collection.
The painter from Valencia has developed his very own unmistakable style. He always presents us with concrete people in his paintings: Men and women with sensual forms, daring, languorous eyes and expressive gestures.
The bodies are usually slightly cubist in form, with straight lines and sharp lights on the volumes. Abellán also has a particular love of colour and patterns in the surfaces, especially in the clothes of his figures. He likes to embed coloured papers in the impasto paint and then gives it additional structures by spreading and scratching.
So beautiful, life, love!
This picture shows a couple on a bicycle. They must be newly in love, rushing to a romantic destination on the nostalgic vehicle, because the woman in her flowing summer dress is not sitting on the pannier rack, no, she is embracing the gentleman in his summer hat on the top of his back!
The love is so light and beautiful that the fast ride only elicits a gentle smile from the cyclist - despite the wafting ride, he is not thrown off balance and can still hold on to his hat with one hand.
A wonderfully unique piece in a large, space-defining format.
