Features and remarks
Here you have the opportunity to purchase a limited edition bronze by the artist Bruno Bruni.
The sculpture was produced using the lost wax technique (also known as cire perdue or a cera persa)
Bruni drew inspiration for this sensual figure from the ancient myth of Leda. Zeus, the father of the gods, fell in love with her and is said to have transformed himself into a swan and given birth to the beautiful king's daughter. She became pregnant and gave birth to, among others, the beautiful Helen, who ultimately became the cause of the Trojan War.
The artist has merged the two lovers into one figure here: the graceful female body bears a swan's head and wings at the top. The delicate female figure captivates with a subtle, timeless composition and gentle erotic allure.
The surface was polished after casting and patinated in different colours. The female part is dark and velvety matt in colour, while the animal's head stands out in shiny silver. The figurine is mounted on a solid marble base.
Upon request, a transparent perspex box can be provided to the buyer free of charge as a display case and dust protection.
