Torsten Solin was born in Jena in 1972. Solin studied painting at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts from 1999 to 2002. From 2002 to 2004, he was a master student of Prof Hans-Peter Adamski. Torsten Solin uses photography, installation and oil painting in his art. He combines hyper-photorealism and old-masterly techniques. Thematically, he focuses primarily on portraits and the surreal alienation of the female body. The artist has lived and worked in Berlin since 2004. |
